Promoting a circular economy

Our aim is to support local initiatives set up to reduce household waste and promote a circular economy.

What is a circular economy?

The idea of a circular economy is beyond the current ‘take-make-waste’ model. It aims to redefine growth, focusing on positive society-wide benefits.

It is based on three principles:

Design out waste and pollution
Keep products and materials in use
Regenerate natural systems

Coming soon

Our first Repair Café will be on Sunday 12th September at The Bagnall Project on Waterside. We are very excited to have made our idea into a reality and look forward to lots of support from the community. We hope this will be the first of many and that we will be running the event monthly in the future. Please contact us to find out more.

What can I do?

Write to you favourite brands to ask them what action they are taking on reducing plastics.
