Working with Chesham Town Council

Repair cafe

2021 is going to be an exciting year for the cafe – following an idea tabled at a meeting in November 2019, the idea of a Repair Café in Chesham is starting to take shape. We visited Aston Clinton Repair Café in February 2020 and investigations are under way to find a location and a date for a monthly event.

We are thrilled to have been awarded a £500 grant by Transition Network to help us set this up which is great news and really appreciated. The funding is part of Transition:Bounce Forward and The National Lottery Community Fund and will help immensely to help with logistics and rental costs.

Can you help?

We are hoping to collaborate with Workaid, the local charity based in Townsend Road, who have some very skilled volunteers, but we are looking for anyone who likes to upcycle and repair things to offer their skills. If you can offer skills whether carpentry, dress making, IT or electrical repairs, or if you are interested in finding out more, we’d love to hear from you.
