Re-wilding project at Co op field
We are progressing well with our ‘Biodiversity enhancement project’ at the Co-op Fields and have now constructed a ‘Bug Hotel’, ‘Bee scrape’, a herb garden, some water features, and provided habitats for the local ‘slow worm’ community.
We are also looking forward to monitoring the main playing field area throughout the Spring, Summer and Autumn. It is now in its second year of our ‘one cut’ regime and if the wildflowers match last year we will be very pleased, but I am hopeful that they will be even better this year.
Thank you to the team for the impressive progress we are making.
The Field can be accessed through the alleyway between 14 and 16 Chapmans Crescent at eagles.other.remind (what3words) and up the track off Deansway at silent.gather.gasp. (what3words).
