Plastic Free Communities

Sustainable Chesham started with our Plastic Bag Free Chesham campaign back in 2008 and we all now know that plastic pollution is one of the biggest global environmental threats of our age. We would now like to join the international Plastic Free Communities campaign to become a plastic free town. This is a campaign where individuals can take action to unite communities to take action to fight plastic pollution.

The plan is to get individuals as well as local businesses, schools, and community organisations on board to stop using avoidable single-use plastics like drinks bottles, coffee cups and lids, drinking cups, plastic bags etc to become a Plastic Free Community. We need to break our dependency on avoidable single-use plastic. Together, we can make this happen!

Please get in touch if you’d like to be part of the solutions and join our Plastic Free working group.
