Sharing good food that would otherwise go to waste.
Chesham Community Fridge is open to everyone.
In the first 4 months of 2020 Chesham Community Fridge redistributed 20 tonnes of edible food, compared with 33 tonnes for the whole of 2019.
The Chesham Community Fridge project is a non-profit charity project that aims to redistribute surplus food to the general community that would otherwise become food waste. It aims to relieve pressures on household food budgets; provide a community area that fosters sharing and collaboration; reduce local business food waste; and raise public awareness around this food issue.
It can be found next to Broadway Baptist Church, Chesham.
